Two Sisters 2024 (NOW CASTING)

Storyline:

On the day before Eid, a rock-climbing-obsessed Arab teen struggles through literal and emotional ascents after her estranged sister suddenly returns home for the first time in years.

SAFAA:

Lead, Female, 14-16, Arab

A young hijabi teen obsessed with rock climbing. She is quiet and soft-spoken, yet also resilient and determined. Has difficulty speaking her emotions, preferring to release anxiety and frustration through climbing. She finds her life disrupted after the sudden arrival of her estranged older sister, Farah. Must speak Arabic fluently. Must be willing to learn about and participate in indoor rock climbing.

FARAH:

Lead, Female, 18-25, Arab

An irreligious, free-spirited young woman. Outgoing and opinionated while also insecure about her own shortcomings. Has returned to her estranged family for the first time in years in an attempt to confront her past. Bonds with her sister Safaa over their shared love of rock climbing. Must speak Arabic fluently. Must be willing to learn about and participate in indoor rock climbing. Must be willing to dye hair an unnatural color.

ARWA:

Supporting, Female, 40-50, Arab

A quiet, traditional woman whose husband passed away a few years prior. One can sense she was stricter and more overbearing in the past but has mellowed out with age. Lives alone with Safaa and has a broken relationship with Farah due to the way she raised her. Must speak Arabic fluently.

Please state the Arab country their family is from, and you’ll be auditioning in Arabic. Even though the script/sides are in English.  If you’re invited to audition please say in your own Arabic dialogue during their self-tape.
