NYC Short film Casting Call

This is a rush casting call for the roles of Aisha and Belal in a short film called Changing Truths, which I've attached below. It'll shoot in East Harlem on Sunday March 6th from 9-8 PM.

Aisha is a Muslim woman who has weathered more than she thought she could bear in her relationship. In the film, she and her husband reconnect for the first time in months, and realize something together about their relationship, simultaneously, that frees them and brings them joy in a way they didn't expect. 

Belal is a filmmaker. While his wife was away, he decided to shoot something short and simple to encapsulate some of the difficulty of their dynamic. For him, he just wanted to capture the ineffable that they're unable to communicate with each other, and use the film to speak for him. It does, and what happens next changes both of their lives. 

Pay for the day is $100 for each actor. This film will be submitted as a requirement for the completion of the Columbia University MFA in Directing/Screenwriting. Union or non-union works.
