**CASTING CALL** PAID

Hi everyone, I am casting lead roles for a 10 episode mocumentary TV show to be shot from November 27th - December 19th. All roles are PAID gigs.

Location: San Dimas, CA.

Show Description: The show is about the lives of the storeowners and their employees of a typical California retail plaza. The show is first and foremost a comedy, but actors should know the differences of a mocumentary style show (i.e. The Office, What We Do In The Shadows, Modern Family, Parks & Recreation)

Male (LEAD)

age 45-65

from India (any region is fine)

Character Description: A middle-aged man from India who perceives himself to be the greatest businessman in the world. The Plaza is his masterpiece, a retail strip mall that he owns. He is a positive man, who embraces the American capitalist lifestyle. He also owns and runs a convenience store in the plaza, worked by his son Reddy.

*MUST BE ABLE TO DO AN ACCENT*

Male (LEAD) Reddy

Son of the Indian Store Owner

age 25-30

from India (any region is fine)

Character Description: A first generation American, who is trying to impress and earn the respect of his father, but also has his own creative ambitions. He works at his dads convenience store, but tries to live the DJ lifestyle, while not having much work ethic for either.

*MUST BE OKAY WITH SMOKING / VAPING*

Male (LEAD) Farid Ahmadi

age 40-65

from the middle east (from the mediterranean region is okay)

Character Description: Farid Ahmadi runs his own pita shop in a strip mall called the Plaza. He is stubborn and has a quick temper. Farid's origins are unknown but there are many rumors floating around in the plaza about his past.

Son of Farid / Older Brother of Arya

age 23-30

from the middle east (from the mediterranean region is okay)

Character Description: A playboy a-la-carte with a big heart who works at his father's pizza shop. A cool guy who doesn't get out of control, but can handle himself if other people lose their cool.

Female (LEAD) Arya Ahmadi

daughter of Farid / Little Sister of Javeed

age 22-27

from the middle east (from the mediterranean region is okay)

Character Description: Femme fatale who works at her father's pizza shop. But her first occupation is Instagram which is where she portrays a life of a super hot and confident party girl.

*MUST BE OKAY SMOKING / VAPING*

Female (LEAD) Maya

age 20-25

from Nepal (Nepalese origin)

Character Description: An illegal immigrant, who migrated to California at a young age, backpacking from Guatemala with her mother. She has the most prominent arc, going from extremely shy, someone who runs away whenever the cameras are around, to being assertive/confident enough to love herself. She works at the Mexican Burrito shop for Mr. Alvarado.
