Contract: If a SAG-AFTRA actor is cast, the series will operate under the SAG-AFTRA / PBS agreement. 

Usage: 8 (26-min) episode series airing on WNET/Thirteen and ALLARTS. Series will be broken down into 16 (13-min) versions for YouTube / Web. Social media assets for each episode.

We are open to female and male candidates, but only one host will be cast. 

ABOUT

This documentary series captures the flair of North Brooklyn and the work of artists in a creative cinematic style. It’s a fusion of Anthony Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown '' and Art21, without the talking heads. Our host is not a TV presenter type who speaks to camera, but more like a character in a narrative film whom we see traveling through Brooklyn, and we hear their inner monologue through their voiceover. The host will seek out artists of North Brooklyn, both old and new, natives and transplants. They also lead us through lesser known places in Brooklyn, where artists have established a stronghold. In real conversations, our host explores each artist’s approach to their work: be it their unique process or the materials they use. The inevitable overlap of work and life conversations lead to a discussion on how life and art intersect, how one informs and inspires the other, and what it means to be an artist living and working in 21st Century New York. SEEKING

[CATEGORY 1: HOST]. Male or Female. 30-50. All ethnicities (except caucasian males). Seeking NY based actors (hosting experience not required) who are very personable, eloquent, expressive, well-read and accessible to all genders. Must be involved in the New York visual art community. Talent comfortable riding a bike is a plus, but not a requirement.

*Actors who are visual artists (open to those who have their own studio or not) in any of the aforementioned disciplines*

Seeking NY based actors (hosting experience not required) who are very personable, eloquent, expressive, well-read and accessible to all genders. Must be involved in the New York visual art community. Talent comfortable riding a bike is a plus, but not a requirement.

*Actors who are not visual artists, but have an academic background and/or in-depth knowledge of any of the visual arts and can speak about it. For example, they may have studied art history in school, taught art classes, worked or owned an art gallery, or a deep interest in any of the aforementioned art disciplines*
