Writer Arab American Casting on the subject line. WE LIVE IN CAIRO is a new musical making its world premiere at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, MA. Under the direction of artistic director Diane Paulus, the A.R.T. has become an incubator for pre-Broadway productions (recent Broadway shows that began at A.R.T. include Waitress, Pippin, All the Way, Porgy and Bess & Once). Inspired by the young Egyptians who took to the streets to overthrow President Hosni Mubarak in 2011, WE LIVE IN CAIRO follows six revolutionary students armed with laptops and cameras, guitars and spray cans as they come of age in a contemporary Cairo.
